Product Description
Sunflower flour is produced as a by-product of our cold-press oil operation. After oil extraction, the remaining press cake is milled to produce a flour that retains a significant residual oil content (5–12% depending on pressing intensity) alongside high concentrations of protein and dietary fibre.
The flour has a characteristic light to mid-grey colour due to the inclusion of fine hull particles, and a mild sunflower flavour that integrates naturally into bread, cracker, and flatbread formulations. It is valued as a protein booster in bakery applications and as a dietary fibre source in functional food development.
Our sunflower flour is produced without chemical solvents — the oil reduction is achieved purely mechanically. This distinction matters for clean-label product development and for certain organic-adjacent formulation requirements. Protein content of 30–40% makes it a cost-effective partial replacement for more expensive plant proteins.
