Product Description

Cold-pressed flaxseed oil is one of the richest plant-based sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the short-chain omega-3 fatty acid, with typical concentrations of 50–60% of total fatty acids. We cold-press from Bulgarian brown flaxseed at low temperature, without solvents or refining, preserving the natural tocopherols and the full ALA content.

The oil has a characteristic earthy, nutty, slightly bitter flavour that integrates well into dressings, smoothies, and functional food products. It is not suited for cooking — ALA is heat-sensitive and the smoke point of unrefined linseed oil is low. Applications are primarily as a food supplement, salad dressing oil, and as an ingredient in omega-enriched products.

Due to its high PUFA content, flaxseed oil has a shorter shelf life than most other oils. We pack in dark glass with nitrogen flushing and recommend storage at cool temperatures. Peroxide value and ALA content are verified per batch.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend against it. Flaxseed oil is very high in polyunsaturated ALA which is sensitive to heat, light, and oxygen. Use it cold in dressings, smoothies, or as a supplement. Store refrigerated after opening.
Unopened: 8-10 months from pressing date when stored cool and dark. Once opened: consume within 4-6 weeks and refrigerate. Nitrogen flushing during bottling extends shelf life.
Yes. 25 L drums and larger volumes are available for food manufacturers and cosmetic producers. Industrial-grade COA including full fatty acid profile and FFA/PV testing is included.
