Whole Coriander Seeds
Agros-98 AD sources and processes whole coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum) grown in the Varna and Dobrich regions of northeastern Bulgaria. The continental climate and light soils of this area produce seeds with high essential oil content — typically above 0.4 ml/100g — and a balanced aromatic profile prized by both the spice and fragrance industries.
Our whole coriander is cleaned, calibrated, and graded to customer specification. The primary application is the spice trade — whole seeds for seasoning blends, pickling, sausage seasoning, and confectionery — but a significant share supplies essential oil distillers who require consistent oil yield and low foreign matter.
We supply both machine-cleaned and hand-sorted grades. Colour, size uniformity, and moisture are controlled per batch and supported by a full Certificate of Analysis issued with every shipment.
Coriander Splits
Coriander splits are produced by mechanically splitting whole seeds along their natural equatorial seam, separating the two cotyledons. This significantly increases the surface area exposed, releasing flavour and essential oil faster during cooking, infusion, or industrial processing.
Splits are particularly valued by spice blend manufacturers, marinades producers, and pickle brine operations where rapid flavour release is more important than whole-seed visual presentation. The split ratio is maintained at a minimum of 95%, ensuring a consistently broken product rather than a mixture of whole and split seeds.
Foreign matter tolerance is tighter for splits than for whole — max 0.3% — because any residual husks or foreign particles are more conspicuous in a split product. All material is sourced from the same Bulgarian-grown coriander crop as our whole seeds.
