Описание на продукта

Cold-pressed walnut oil is pressed from shelled Bulgarian walnuts without heat or solvent. The result is a delicate oil with a characteristic mild walnut aroma, a golden-amber colour with a slight green tinge, and a fatty acid profile that provides both linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, omega-3) in a ratio of approximately 4:1.

Walnut oil is one of the few plant-based oils with meaningful amounts of omega-3, making it attractive for functional food formulations, premium dressings, and nutraceutical applications. It should not be heated as the polyunsaturated fats are sensitive to oxidation.

Bulgaria produces walnuts of excellent quality in the Varna and Shumen regions. We source from established growers and cold-press in small batches to maintain quality. Each batch is tested for FFA, peroxide value, and moisture.

Not recommended. The high PUFA content makes it sensitive to heat. Use cold in salad dressings, pasta, bread dips, or as a finishing oil. Store refrigerated after opening.
Yes. Walnut oil must be labelled as containing tree nuts (walnuts) under EU food law. Full allergen documentation is provided with every shipment.
Unopened: 10-12 months stored cool and dark. After opening: 4-6 weeks refrigerated. We nitrogen-flush all bottles and tins at filling.
